The Los Angeles Philharmonic, led by Dudamel Fellow Kahchun
Wong, presents a free neighborhood concert at the Wilshire United Methodist
Church, 4350 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90005, on Friday,
December 16, at 7:30pm.
Wong will conduct the orchestra in a program featuring
Prokofiev's Classical Symphony and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings.

conductor's podium, Singaporean-born conductor Kahchun Wong is one of
Asia's most dynamic young conductors. In May 2016, he was awarded 1st Prize

with his natural musical instinct and maturity for both canonic and modern
repertoire. Engagements for 2016/2017 include the Aarhus Symphony
Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Croatian National Theatre Ivan
Zajc, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, New Japan
Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Chinese

churches, community centers and other local venues around Southern
California. The Los Angeles Philharmonic has been presenting free
Neighborhood Concerts for over 20 years, as part of the organization's
dedication to making music accessible to the widest possible
